Great great fun.

Thanks to all who came out to the show on May 21st at the Surf n’ Saddle-that was one of the best shows all year! extra special thanks to John Kim who had an ultimate after party at his house in Encinitas- his place is awesome! jacuzzi pool table bad ass entertainment system and we didn’t run out of beer or drinks all night! even at 5 in the morning the acoustic show was still rocking!

on top of that I just got back from an amazing trip in Costa Rica! I went with my Dad to surf play music relax and check out his new property! Costa Rica is like heaven with warm water nice locals and great pina coladas-

if you’re going to Costa Rica go to Capitan Suizo’s Hotel in Tamarindo-it is the best place ever! on his birthday, with some added pressuure from the people at the pool bar, my Dad did two back flips into the pool! he is still partying as hard as ever and we both had an excellent time together-

hopefully you can all come down and stay at the new place my Dad is building next year! it is pretty much perfect in Tamarindo.

We have an all ages show coming up in San Diego at the Epicentre on Saturday June 11th so hopefully we’ll see you there!

…as they say in Costa Rica… “Pura Vida!!!”

:-)Willie (I can’t wait to go back and play another acoustic rock show for all of the locals and partiers! it was awesome!)

Hello all,

Kinda downer news, my grandfather, William R. Anderson, “Dodo” (my Mom’s father) passed away on May 5th. He was a lucky guy with a big heart and a large family who loved him very much. On a lighter note he lived a great life. I had a couple of strange days.

I actually felt very lucky to have had a long conversation with him only one day before he went into a coma. We talked about life and basketball and our family and normal stuff. It was great catching up and he seemed sharp and clear minded. The same old Dodo I always known since I was young. He’s even always looked the same to me.

When I found out he was in the hospital I went on this crazy, Forrest Gump like run. I knew he would have tubes in his mouth and be breathing wierd so I wanted to be clear minded when I saw him for the last time. I ran and ran and ran. I started from Solana Beach and ran past the Del Mar Race Track, past 15th street in Del Mar, up Torrey Pines hill, over by UCSD, turned east at Genessee and ran across the 5 freeway over to Scripps Hospital where most of my Mom’s family was. It actually turned out to be a 9 mile run and I was kinda impressed with myself. I hadn’t run that far in a long time.

I held his hand for awhile and everyone had a heavy heart.

After a couple visits I was there to watch his last breath. He had gone into the next life. That was the first time I had seen someone pass away right infront of my eyes. It was strange and I remember how much I realized my grandma Nana loved him. She was strong. We will all miss him…

(kinda cool, my grandfather golfed his age when he was 76- and got a hole in one both at The Fair Banks Ranch Country Club in Del Mar- he also won the pick six two days in a row- 🙂 I will always will remember his great stories…

crazy couple of weeks

Jaime meets the Governator and Donald Trump!
Current mood: amused

Jaime’s KTLA Channel 5 reporting job has allowed him to cross paths with a large number of familiar faces in the past couple weeks. I had fun tagging along with Jaime and listening to Trump talk this weekend-he was a funny guy and offered some solid business advice. At the Trump conference, Jaime talked me into recording a KTLA 15 second stand up report in my suit in front of a large crowd. I memorized his report and ended with “… from the L.A. convention center, Will Chambers, KTLA News.” it was pretty cool. I’ve always liked holding the mic.

When Jaime met the Governator one on one in Arnold’s office- Arnold Schwartzenegger(I don’t know how to spell it!) showed Jaime his Conan sword and said “This is what I use to slash the budget deficit!” funny stuff.

Hope to see you so cal people at our show in san diego!
Listen for us on 94.9FM San Diego …we have a new song that will hit the airwaves soon!
:-)Willie
